My friend and I actually went on the wrong date-12/11/10. We found out that the festival would only start on the next day till 14/11/10. At the end of that day, we had 'takoyaki'(fried or grilled octopus) on the way home.
The night before the festival, we actually planned on catching a movie, which was from to but anyway it could be watched online, so we didn’t catch it. There was also music performance, but it was quite early and I not very crazy about it. On 14/11/10, my friend helped me to buy the entrance ticket and I went in. (of course I paid my friend) I was greeted by the Bandai booth selling and showcasing Gundam models. After wandering for a while, I saw some anime figurines.
There were a lot of cosplayers (people who dress themselves up in costumes of their favourite animation characters) there. I even took a few photographs of them.
I just need to go up to them and tell them to pose for me to take a picture. While passing through Bushiroad booth, where they sold cards, I chanced upon the latest card game of Japan, Weiß Schwarz. They were selling the trial decks for $23, booster pack for $6, and card protector for $16. Some people were also giving out fliers.
There were anime cars (itasha) on display. Cool Japan Experience booth showcase the technology of Japan, which were showcased in Japan pavilion at Shanghai Expo. Animax booth allowed us to try dubbing animes. Some booths allowed us to design our own anime characters, some booths allowed us to sing anime songs, such as 'don't say lazy', 'only my railgun', 'crow song'. Some booths sold anime T-shirts, which most were sold out. I actually wanted to try out the Maid café, but it seemed that the food inside were quite very expensive and my friend did not want to go in. (maybe too shy, cause all the servants were female) There was also arcade gaming by Sega, which is called 'Project Diva'. After an hour of waiting, it was finally my turn. I did not even hold on for a minute before the screen showed 'failed'. An hour queue for not even a minute playing, it was not worth it. There was also the artist gallery, where the artists showcased their art. I bought a bookmark with 'Vocaloid' characters printed on it, while viewing at the arts.
When it was about time to go home, I took another stop at the arcade corner. Someone played 'Disappearance of Hatsune Miku' and scored '6vp'! (an extremely high score)There was a round of applause at the end of the game and someone cheered. It was indeed a very fun festival.
